0 Stars would be more appropriate. I am a single mom with 3 kids who needed assistance with a water bill. Ive been back and forth to this office for assistance for the past 3 days straight, did everything that was asked of me including paying the balance down to $150 so that they could assist me and now today they are telling me that it takes 30 days to process my application. My water is still off and I have 30 days to wait and see if I'm even eligible to get the last portion of my water bill paid so that my services can be restored. Ms. Janet was helpful by referring me to other services that may have a faster wait time and she made me aware that if it's paid by another service then gccac won't have to pay the bill for me. One of the case workers was extremely rude and demeaning when I first came into the office and she offered little assistance and mostly gave gave attitue and told me to "come back when my bill is $150". So here I am 3 days later with all the requirements met and my app won't even touch her desk today. Last year when Mrs. Norma was there she was very kind and professional and showed empathy towards people needing assistance...when she helped me I was able to get my bill paid the very same day since the water was off. As a matter of fact most agencies can't help you until you receive a disconnect notice but once that happens it's deemed an emergency or necessity. I'm all for rules and procedures changing but this office needs to more up front with information regarding services for their clients. I'm mostly disappointed in the quality of service and neglect of it's patrons. I would not recommend you go apply for this service because they mostly spend time deterring you from actually receiving any assistance from their office.
