I wouldn’t have had it any other way welcoming our baby boy into the world. Alanna and Story safely and beautifully delivered him at home, and I’m forever grateful. I’d always wanted to do a home birth (for it’s natural and low intervention aspect) but had some fears about emergencies that could arise. Attending Fairfax Home Birth’s free info session quickly put me at ease. Their professionalism, clear procedures, and experience made everything feel soo legitimate and safe! After a private consultation with Alanna, my husband and I knew this was the right fit. Throughout my pregnancy, Alanna, Story, and Emily were incredibly responsive and supportive. Any symptom or concern I had, they addressed with holistic, evidence based recommendations that truly worked. I also loved their community care sessions and looked forward to it. Connecting with other expecting moms was so much fun. Everyone was supportive and it’s amazing that FHB went the extra mile to coordinate these sessions! My water broke at 37 weeks and with the challenges and unknowns of what’s to happen next, everything still unfolded safely, naturally, and beautifully thanks to them! Delivering a 37 week baby at home sounds scary but it wasn't. They were constantly checking on me and my baby that I knew we were safe the entire time. Even though my insurance didn’t cover home birth, it was worth every penny! Their care, expertise, and support far exceeds the cost. I have been wanting to leave a review for several years now. It’s hard to put into words what Story Jones means to me. I’ve never met a human being so willing to be present with me. Every visit felt like all my questions were answered in the best way possible. Throughout my entire pregnancies, I consistently felt supported, confident, and embedded with intelligent-based care. Story Jones was my midwife for two of my children and also was with me by my side during a miscarriage. She is truly a gift to humanity. Children are the future, and she is doing God’s work. I trust her with my life and the lives of my children. Additionally, from a billing standpoint, I have a very tricky insurance, TRICARE prime. The practice overall and staff that helps with billing (Thank you, Emily!) has been nothing but patient and informative. I’m very grateful for Story Jones and the entire practice and I will recommend them at any chance that I can get.

Cannot say enough about how amazing this practice is! I had such a wonderful prenatal, birth and postnatal experience with Fairfax Home Birth. Story and Alana are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, thorough, and make you feel empowered throughout the whole process. They feel like family by the end of the pregnancy journey.
