Victoria Dawodu rated 5 4 months ago Always very kind and generous to everyone who came for one thing or another. They have the hardest working volunteers young, and old. The future is brighter especially because of the young people who are emulating the adults. Thank you all so much for all you do in this community. |
Juan Sorto rated 5 4 months ago On Tuesdays, the Hugs and Hope organization, distributes food to the community for anyone that is in need of assistance. They normally operate feom 2:00pm to 4:00pm, but during this time of year they are running from 1:45pm to 3:45pm given the shorter daylight. They are very well organized, so despite the fact that so many people show up, they do an efficient job of getting you and your family through the lines. You do not have too leave your vehichle, just have the trunk open when you pull up to the front. For any changes in the schedule, visit their website. |
Cami D rated 5 a year ago I'm not a member of this church, but my children and I visited a recent community event that they hosted. Most of the members are genuinely welcoming. Also, it doesn't matter what ethnic/age group you belong to because they have a diverse group of leaders and congregants. Approximately 7 of their members/leaders really stood out to me because of their graciousness and positivity. Because of space and time limitations, I'll briefly focus on 2 individuals--the youth and senior pastors. This is the youth pastor you desire to help lead your children! I believe his name is Noah. (I apologize if that's incorrect). This easy-going gentleman literally made rounds to speak with every child that he encountered. It was evident that it wasn't "just his job;" he has a heart for children and for ministry. He took his time to learn the names and interests of the students who were present. He also headed up the games for both children and adults. It was evident that the participants all had a great time.
I believe that the pastor is "Pastor Sheldon." (Again, I apologize if I'm wrong). He has a commanding, yet peaceful, presence. I truly respect those who unapologetically share the Word, without watering it down or having it conform to the present culture and how people feel. That's exactly what he did. He had the opportunity, and the responsibility, of sharing the gospel and he followed through well. |
