Dawning Family Services is a huge part of my success since being without a home. My family received a lot of support with Dawning Family Services. Many people work check to check and are one job away from being homeless. Facing difficult challenges in life could leave a person feeling hopeless. The team at Dawning reminded me that I was only facing a setback in my life, and this setback is not my entire life story. They helped me rebuild my life in more ways than one. They gave me hope, encouragement, inspiration, and the means to move forward. Life does not come with instructions, and sometimes we hit bumps along the way. I always felt open to communicate with my case worker (S.M.) and everyone at Dawning. More importantly, they treated me like a human being, like a person, and I never felt judged. Not everyone is nice to those who face life challenges, however, with Dawning I always felt respected, valued, and like I matter regardless of my circumstances. For me it’s highly important to feel human no matter what one is facing. I am writing this review as a single mom in the spirit of gratitude. I recommend Dawning Family Services to families who need help, and are serious about rebuilding their lives. I too had to learn how to ask for help, and I learned it is okay to accept help especially from those who genuinely want to help.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dawning Family Service's they helped me and my children they took us in I was about to lose my children but dawning family services opened there door's to us we was homeless out on the streets we had no food they provide so much support the communication was always on time I got a response everytime I reached out.phone call's was always answered email's were always responded to the overflow of resources if you are serious about getting on your feet then you have to work the program all you have to do is communicate and Dawning Family Service's are going to do everything in there power to get you back on your feet..... JUST COMMUNICATE THATS ALL IT TAKES.....I am so Grateful and Thankful to GOD because Dawning Family Service's and I couldn't have done this with out Jesus.

Dawning Family Services is a complete disappointment. I’m a single mother with two young kids, and I came to Dawning Family Services because I truly needed help. I was told they support families with diapers, baby supplies, food, household items, and even housing or shelter when needed. But when I reached out, I got nothing but excuses. Every time I’ve called or gone in person, they tell me something different. Nobody ever mentioned that I needed a caseworker until after I wasted my gas driving all the way there — and even then, they acted like it was my fault for not knowing. What really hurts is that they pick and choose who they want to help. I’ve signed up multiple times, filled out forms, and left messages, but no one ever got back to me. They say they help families in need, but that’s far from the truth. I couldn’t even get help with food, diapers, or basic supplies for my kids. If you don’t already have a caseworker, they won’t do anything for you — and even if you do, there’s no guarantee you’ll get help. I’m trying my best to take care of my kids on my own, and it’s frustrating when organizations like this act like they care but don’t actually follow through. It feels like they just push people away who truly need support. I left there feeling completely hopeless, disappointed, and like my time and gas were completely wasted. If you’re a single parent or family in real need, don’t waste your time or gas going to Dawning Family Services. They’ll make you feel like your situation doesn’t matter. I honestly wish I could give them zero stars because they failed me and my kids when we needed food and support the most.
