This is a decent church to get your feet wet and start you journey with Christ. There are amazing people there and it got me thirsty for more but the teachings felt surface level in order to appeal to the 3,000 members they consistently boast about. They put a LOT of focus on numbers is all I'll say about that.
I left the church for 22 years and worked actively against Christianity for half of it. When it was time for me to return, this was a good church to begin my journey but as I began to mature in my walk with Christ I started to notice things that disturbed me and subsequently started searching for deeper understanding and teaching at other churches.
1.) Criticizing and insulting other denominations in the pulpit and therefore it spread to other members. They make fun of Catholics the most but other denominations and viewpoints are insulted outright, often from the pulpit. This causes disunity and a divide between doctrines and people, exactly what Satan wants. No denominations are perfect but they all serve to bring people to Christ and instill them with the Holy Spirit, so just get along for Christ's sake (literally).
2.) Money Money Money. They focus HEAVILY on tithing, specifically in the pulpit. During Crossway 101, the 1h class that new member have to go to, I was told by the lead pastor, Pastor Eddie, that if you don't tithe your 10%, others will have to pick up your slack (guilt) - Refer to 2 Corinthians 9:7. I don't need to say any more.
3.) HEAVY focus on "not being worthy" and guilt. We are all worthy of His love and salvation, that's why Christ died for us. Every. Single. One of us. The GIFT of salvation is free to those who believe in Him.
4.) HEAVY focus on politics and being told how to vote without scriptural references often with using guilt/shame if you don't vote on a certain side of the political spectrum. To the point where they openly insult and criticize people who vote differently. It was very uncomfortable for me, as I know people who don't vote like that and to hear them insulted in so many disturbing ways and so often, it made me very angry.
5.) After I joined the church I received only a letters with offering envelopes. I didn't get any welcome letter or anything of the sort. When I submitted my resignation, thanking them and stating that God is moving me elsewhere, I received nothing.
6.) I was forced to be baptized at Crossway to become a member because when I was first baptized and received the Holy Spirit it was in a Church of Christ and "it wasn't done correctly". So instead of being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, I was baptized in an assembly line and had to wait for the next big show of baptisms (about a month) instead of the very moment I agreed to be baptized again.

You will have a great experience if you visit Crossway Baptist Church. You can expect phenomenal preaching, fantastic music and caring small group leadership. My only complaint is that I cannot give more than 5 stars.

When you walk in this church, you can feel God moving within the people. The music is wonderful and purposeful for worship. The ministries are well-organized and focused on furthering the Gospel. They are also centered on reaching the lost in the community, such as Freeway drug recovery ministry. Pastor Bumpers is a phenomenal speaker. He has a way of taking stories from the Bible relevant today. In addition, he leads the church closer to God and challenges the church to lead a holy life.
