Okay,,,,, where do We begin ?????
I came from Omaha, Open Door Mission.
Needed someplace for 90 days.
Got in touch with Crossroads, left Omaha went to Hastings.
First, stayed in a 6 man room.
Expected to work all day, do Your chore then work some more.
Forget the personal matters You have to address.
Moved up to a 2 man room ($300 a month).
Roommate had all kinds of stuff. Room was more than half full of his stuff (Bathroom also).
Moved up again (I did it real quick) to a personal room ($400 a month).
Great, so I thought.
Started moving in.
The Head Guy was telling Me I could have a refrigerator and a microwave in My room.
Someone was coming in My room.
Another Guy just walked right in to ask me if I could give his buddy a ride.
Someone was using my toilet and forgot to flush.
Head Guy comes in and tells Me I've got to much stuff in My room.
I tell him I'm paying $400, he tells Me doesn't matter.
Tells Me I can only have 2 small totes in my room.
What about the fridge and the microwave.
No answer.
I tell him I'm not gonna pay $400 a month to live like a vagabond.
Moved out.
I was at Crossroads Mission for less than 3 months and it cost Me $1150.
For Nothing.
They offer slave labor.
They offer slave food rations.
They offer a good old fashion stab in the back.
