NOT SAFE - Serious Warning: if you care about yourself don't go to this one. Try Charleston Hope shelter. Urbana shelter has some shady stuff going on. Many people kicked out for no reason, almost like they are incentivized to bring people in but not keep them for the entire stay. If you notice they have too many new people coming in someone without children WILL be kicked out to make room for new people from what I saw. Multiple women in the shelter said they will kick you out for no reason, then I saw it actually happen. Very dangerous and most of the staff seem shady, like they are part of an in group to protect each other and not do their jobs. Really scary and unsafe The night staff are amazing. Great people. Nothing bad to say about them but the people in the day have the vibe of cancer and danger that you can't put your finger on but you see constant evidence of the danger. I don't know how they get away with this! It's safer to stay on the street, and I'm not saying that because they just kicked me out and I'm mad. I can't warn you enough that this is not a safe place and the Charleston shelter is what this place is supposed to be like. For example, the Charleston shelter told me they technically can't kick you out for not doing your assigned chores. The Urbana shelter will force you to do pointless chores or get kicked out. The Charleston shelter buys everyone food, even if they fail constantly and mess everything up for everyone each week. This shelter has some random canned goods you can have as much as you want. Bottom line is: if you can get to Charleston go there. If you MUST go here and you don't have children with you, do not expect to feel safe or stay for long.

unfortunately, they won’t let me leave. No stars so I will give you one star Barbara is not a person that should be replicating your company because if people are calling with situations, they’re looking for people to answer and reply with passion, concern and empathy. She has none I’ve called several times because she would not for one. Tell me who her supervisor was, and I want to talk to somebody who’s above Barbara Barbara has been the total opposite of what You claim your company to represent find better employees. Barbara has put the mask on people who will ever try to seek your services. But yet still is 1003 where I am and I still don’t know who Barbara supervisor is she will not allow me to get past the phone call with her to supervisor
