Let me tell you about my experience in this shelter it was horrible if you end up moving to oregon i advise you to have money saved if you do, i get it shelter are going to have rules but this place had way too many, the people who ran the shelter were horrible and rude they don’t try to help you they make the situation worst and i never seen so many women get kicked out i’m so glad i found a place and left ill never go back!!!!!

This place likes to talk about ethics but will discriminate against you if you have mental-health issues, so if you don't absolutely have to put something on the application- I would recommend lying about your situation 🤷🏽‍♀️ After fleeing a severe DV situation with nothing, this program lead me on for weeks & never got back to me. It was highly disappointing because I know at the time, they had over 30 beds open & I was willing to do EVERYTHING they asked of me. Including going to a detox-center, even though I was not detoxing from anything & was immediately kicked out the door. I was highly motivated to receive any kind of assistance to help get my life back on track & i wasted A LOT of resources waiting to hear back from them. I would recommend contacting Women's First because if WF is not a good fit for you, they will at a minimum get back to you in a reasonable amount of time, along with referring you to other resources.

I got kicked out because I was jet lagged after going on a pre-planned trip and was told I didn’t talk to people. I’m sorry I was so tired🙄🤷🏾‍♀️ me and my kids then were sleeping in my car and denied to come back because of this first experience.
