2.7 stars.... really helpful to struggling renters and landlords that rely on rent and dont want to evict people... but try getting ahold of anyone over the phone is nearly impossible. Case workers should have to email landlords with a timeliness and id there are any issues with the disbursement. Would eliminate the unknowns and delays.

My family member applied for rent assistance 2 months ago and still hasn't heard back even though she has left multiple voicemails. She's older, going through serious medical issues and recently became unemployed as a result. Now she has to worry about receiving a 5 day notice on top of everything else. Just heartless.

This organization is absolutely AWFUL!!! I applied for rental assistance on May 12th of this year and gave them a 5-day notice from my landlord. A month later, my case is STILL "under review", and we haven't heard ANYTHING back from them other than they contacted our landlord to verify some information. Every time I've tried to call, absolutely no one is there, no matter what time of day you call. I also tried emailing to no avail. If you're having rental assistance issues, PLEASE save yourself the trouble and apply elsewhere. THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU.

My tenant has used them in the past for Covid relief. The first time was a breeze and his payments were sent shortly after application. This time around has been nothing short of a nightmare. I have been waiting since December for payments or even standard communication. I have filled out all of the proper forms they have sent to me,. I have sent way too many unanswered emails and on top of that have called their number where it says “someone will be happy to help you shortly.” I have not once received a call back to the numerous voicemails that have been left over the last 5 months. I can appreciate the support that they are giving to people in need during this time and that they are busy but it’s worse than pulling teeth to get this taken care of. If they have anyone that checks these some form of communication back to me would be greatly appreciated.

After posting on Facebook message board I finally asked for a supervisor after 5 months of runaround and poor lack of communication. I was then contacted by a supervisor and he put a rush on my case and finally got things moving along. To where not only do I now have an estimate of the date I also know the amount. I'm disappointed that it took so long and so many ways to communicate with them; however, I'm happy I finally got an update with good news. I say don't give up keep trying and ask for a supervisor when all else fails. In the end they are helping my family and I. So I'm grateful this issue is finally being address and resolved. I still suggest that Community Advocates do better with communication. We're all out here in need of help and communication plays a huge role in how we treat each other.
