Called to make a NP appt. at Peach Orchard rd. Location and spoke with Shannon. She was so helpful and offered every bit of information to help me get my husband scheduled and how to go about doing so. She did her job well. - Fellow medical professional.
Edit: Went to the appt. where everyone was professional and kind. Shannon again was great as well as her coworkers up front with her. Doctor was very nice and receptive. Had a great manner. All was a really pleasant experience until we got to Cathy, the phlebotomist. My husband has severe anxiety with needles and right off the bat she made it obvious she was annoyed by his squirming. Her skills were fine and I let the snarky tone go until she told him to hold the gauze and he didn't hear her so she said it again. He didnt react so I go to place my finger on it and she looks at me and says, "not you, him." I asked her if she was always this short, meaning her attitude, and she response with I'm 5'2. I said no I mean your attitude and asked her how is she going to tell me I can't hold the gauze on my own husband's arm. She tells me next time I can sit in the waiting room. Then tells me to come on let's go now. I told her no I'll be telling the Dr. about her attitude. She said ok, let's go and tell him now. Then go and tells the Dr. to come here and brings us all in one room. I don't know how all offices operate but in the professional ones I've worked in, a staff member doesn't take charge of a complaint and stand in the room to narrate how the complaint goes. That's something that is discussed with an office manager. In my office had one of our staff been that rude and took it upon themselves to decide how the complaint was going to be handled, they would have been lucky to be employed. The poor doctor was put on the spot to apologize and back up Cathy. But Cathy didn't have an apology. Whether Cathy thought she was wrong or not she should have apologized for the impression she made and that would have been that. I've honestly never seen a staff member allowed to act that way to a patient. So be weary when getting blood drawn. Cathy apparently has immunity and an attitude problem. In case she reads this: Cathy, the professional way would have been to realize I felt offended by your sass and say something like. "Oh, I'm sorry I wasn't meaning it that way." And I would have thought I over reacted. Instead you realized I was offended and gave me even more attitude. You're welcome to call me anytime and apologize. I'm an understanding person and I'm open to forgiveness.

If you can avoid this place please do they do not have their communication together piedmont made an appointment for my partner and this facility so called never had him in the system I mean this lady argued me down sating he was never in the system then they call me back after I contact piedmont to say they gave his appointment to someone else and he can come in another day no ma'am he took off for the day yall told him that so unprofessional they make me sick. There are literally no doctors here no good ones anyways. Nobody has time to keep taking off of work for yall when yall don't know what you are doing. Get some real managers to run the system and try again.
