Kortocha Nelson rated 1 6 months ago They are the most disrespectful organization that we probably have in Augusta; very unprofessional and every one who works there need to take a lesson from the Chik-fil-a corporation. It should have been her pleasure to assist the patrons who reach out to this organization. The reason this organization exists is to help the patrons that contact them and to become disgruntled when someone asks questions is extremely unhelpful. I called to gain insight as to a program geared towards assisting an elderly person and in the midst of the conversation, the lady who obviously doesn’t like to help people nor does she like her job stated, “ Excuse me, can I speak?” Not in a nice tone but in a disparaging tone. Instead of presenting to her the same energy that she gave to me, I proceeded to tell her the reason that I called. All I am saying is that is you work for an organization that is designed to help the citizens of the community, you should be more helpful and could possibly be a little more nice about. The person who answered the phone when I called around 4:42pm today obviously needs a lesson on telephone etiquette, charity, etiquette and a host of other items. I will be speaking with someone higher about how the “not so nice” lady treats people. She did not represent the mission or vision of the organization today. |
Adriane PB rated 1 a year ago I spoke to Shannon Jackson a couple of times. She gave me resources that I've had before, but I went ahead and reached out to these places again. If I ever need, they can't help. So, I reached back out to her this month WITH the vacate notice as she said I would need in order to receive assistance from her organization specifically. Her response to me was..."Thanks for the update." Un-*******-believable. Unbelievable! So, Shannon and anyome else that would brush us off like this...i do NOT pray that you're not in a position where you need help. I DO pray that when you need help, you don't receive any and you're simply told "Thanks for the update." I said what I said. |
derrian warren rated 1 2 years ago Not sure who is answering the phones today, but when people call looking for help it is not nice to laugh in there face. It was very unprofessional of whomever is working the front desk on the main number today at 9am. They should be taught more about humility or find a better line of work where they are making fun if those that need the help. |
Tim Covar rated 1 2 years ago They're not there to help the homeless or less fortunate if your not in one of their houses. I find this appalling that they're there to help themselves keep a pitiful working job while deliberately turning away those they're trying to help. I asked help with furniture an was immediately transferred away. Disrespectful an rude. Thank you Mrs, Jackson for making it quite the experience. |
Staci Aaron rated 1 4 years ago I called to get energy assistance back in April. The EOA tells me they are out of funds and to call back on May 1st when the funds will be available. I call on May 1st , lines are busy all day. So I called back the next day and was told to call back because they have no appointments available.
They basically have you going in circles. They refer you to other sources that in turn refer you BACK to the EOA.
The same goes for the Marion Barnes center. They need to be titled as a referral service and stop saying they help with energy and rental assistance because they don't.
No help at all from any of these organizations in Augusta. |
