Twice Angel house kicked me out. They were fully aware that I suffer from mental health issues and still chose to accept me a second time to only terminate residency. I was never violent towards anyone. There was a promise by Angela that she would work with me if I did my part. As soon as I took the first step, I was put out. They do not provide lunch for pregnant women. Many of times I had no resources and had to go hungry until supper which is not okay by any means. A pregnant woman has to eat to help the unborn baby grow. They make residents get up very early and leave even if they don't have work. We were never allowed a single day of rest. There is absolutely no love. There is no real concern for the unborn babies. I was left to find a carseat through Craigslist when Angel house had one, and fully knew I could not take my child to our new residence without one. They simply just did not care. They also withheld bus cards from me. After moving into another maternity home I found out everything Angel house told me about why I could not receive a card was a complete lie. I had transportation and much better resources at the other maternity home. I never worried once if I'd eat. And food was not limited. I now how 2 beautiful daughters, and a home I've been blessed by God to have for 8 years now. What the enemy meant for harm, God turned around for good once I left. From reading reviews, it seems that they try to justify their actions. They never take responsibility for their wrong doings. An apology would be nice, bit I forgive them. This is not to bash Angel house, but to share MY experience with them. I cannot speak for anyone else.

I was at the worst time in my life. I was pregnant by my abuser and planning a way out. I heard about angel house and I thought this could be my saving grace! Boy was I wrong!!! When I called to inquire about their services I noticed the lady who answered the phone, spoke with a tone as if she were bothered. I ignored it. I figured maybe she was having a bad day. 🤷🏽‍♀️ She scheduled me for a over the phone assessment interview 4 days later. That interaction wasn’t any better. When The woman called me she sounded annoyed that she was interviewing me. At the end of the interview process I had questions, her answers felt rushed and she showed no type of empathy for my situation, very dry and to the point. Still, I ignored it thinking l need help, in that moment it seemed like my only hope. She started to inform me about the admission procedure but I told her I’d like to see the house, there are no pictures on the site to give me an idea of the living conditions in the home. She did invite me to a site visit. I accepted and informed her I’d visit this week. She thanks me for completing the interview and closed out the call. I came the following Wednesday on my day off at3 pm. No one was there. When I called to let them know I was outside I was told I needed and appointment for a site visit. Really!!??? An appointment??! Why didn’t the woman tell me that before she rushed me off the phone!?? By this point I am frustrated with them! I didn’t know if the woman who interviewed me just rushed me off the phone 🤔 or if the person who answered the phone when I called to tell them I was outside just told me I needed an appointment because they were out of the office for whatever reason, 🤨but by now, I’m definitely getting a sour taste in my mouth! So I set my appointment for the next day. When I came the lady assisting me seemed inviting which was a pleasant change. At first view the house was ok. But when I went to the restroom the toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks and there was no hand washing soap. Just hand sanitizer 🙄. As I was getting ready to leave I heard someone in the back speaking negatively about a girl who visited the home about adoption options saying “she don’t need no baby, she too young” and how ghetto the mom was in a negative tone….. needless to say I did not move forward with the admission procedure. If you want my advice??? RUN! You better run like Forrest Gump! RUN FORREST RUN! These people do not have pure intentions. It’s all about a dollar to them. They don’t show empathy to your situation or problems and talk badly about you when you leave! Utterly disgusted!!

Do NOT do any business with this company. Do your self a favor and stop. This company is taking money from the government but not paying small business for work they get done. This place should me Audited!!!!!! How you treat your contractors has everything to do with how you conduct business And your integrity. If you are running a non profit business you should know not to cheat your contractors that completed / delivered your scope of work.
