This place is located on the east side of Gainesville, Texas just off East Hwy 82 and North onto Aspen Rd. They offer many types of services for women and children. No men are allowed in this secure facility. The staff seem to be caring and a little overwhelmed at times. Difficult guest and various backgrounds help to keep them guessing. Can't help everyone and can't keep them from not returning to the same environment they said they were trying to leave. Understand that this is process and it does take time. It was a long time coming well now they are here to help! Ready and willing to help those who are ready to make the change and even walk you through it with support and services.

Abigail’s Arms is a truly helpful facility but it is not geared toward everyone. You turn up ‘the walking wounded’ scared and displaced. The case workers do try to help but sometimes work off their own agenda and twist your words. Most of the staff are truly wonderful and will go out of their way to help you. A few treat you like second class citizens.This place did their best to make us feel safe which is refreshing. It is communal living which is difficult in the best of circumstances but even more difficult when a few occupants are allowed to break so many rules. Overall it was a safe place to be while looking for a more permanent option.

It is apparent that Abigail's Arms is a compassionate caring agency, and the team there works in a community effort to inspire change in times of hardship. The facility is well planned out for safety of clients and staff members, and is equipped with everything children, families, and individuals need in time of crisis. Such a great community resource to have access to!

Run from this place do not trust them with your life nor you children's. My kids and i are living from place to place while they let addicts break all the rules and come in and out high. The staff is rude and place don't trust them with any of your info, they talk about you behind your name and make up false info to put in their damn case notes. From the moment I stepped foot in that place i had a bad feel and i should have taking heed. I trusted these ppl only for them to stab me in my back. I have cried haven't been able to sleep because these ppl are so wrong about how they did me. I had a job, just got my childcare and whatever i did was never enough for them. I don't know why they hated me so bad but i just pray the Lord has mercy on them. I am not perfect nor innocent but i didn't deserve this treatment. What put the icing on the cake is that i just got Exited yesterday and per a resident that still resids there said one on the staff members was talking bad about me. Please if you can choose another option do that and avoid this place.
