I called the West Valley location to schedule an appointment as a new patient. I was inquiring about mental health services, if they had inpatient options, if they accepted insurance. Without asking any questions on why I was seeking treatment or what type of treatment would be best, the lady who I spoke with told me insurance would only cover medications and I'd be better off seeking therapy services directly through my insurance provider. I've been in counseling for over 5 months and have still been struggling with severe depression and trauma related to domestic violence. In past years I have worked with A New Leaf as a donor, financially and with clothing and necessities. They were my first choice to seek additional help related to DV because I'm familiar with their work. Inquiring about their services on a personal level was met with extreme disappointment and a lack of interest and empathy by the intake staff. It's unfortunate as a woman seeking help to be so easily dismissed by the intake staff.

My son has been seeing Ellie, and she is wonderful! Very caring, professional, and insightful!

They are AMAIZING here. I have 3 children ( one in his 20's, a mid teen & a grade school child) that have been coming here for a few years & they are extremely knowledgeable, patient, helpful and kind and have plenty of resources if needed and if they don't have resources they can and will connect you to people who do. I've seen great Improvement in my children in the time that they've been there.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This staff is heartless, rude, and just plan awful! Please do yourself a favor and contact ANY OTHER LOCATION. I really tried my best to deal with this front office staff, but my god. THIS IS A PLACE OF HOPE AND HEALING. Whoever Dina is or whatever her name is up front- FIRE HER. Good riddance.

The office manager Martina is rude has zero empathy, refused to see my child because we couldn’t pay $400 Up front. I offered to make payments and she refused care for a child! They need to do better.
