I have volunteered with this organization for many years and have been impressed with all the great work they do day in and day out. Wafa House is an organization that provides free and confidential counseling, case management, legal services as well as financial support to those in need. They are also a state recognized Domestic Violence agency that specialize in the Muslim, Arab and southeast Asian communities but help anyone in need., including anyone undocumented. The staff is hard working and will do their best to assist clients and get them the help they need. There is a process that needs to be followed to get assistance so people need to respect the process, and provide the necessary information so they can get the help they need in a timely manner. Those who do have benefited greatly from the services Wafa House provides. Very few other agencies in our area provide culturally specific services to this particular population. It’s a vital community service and I hope they continue to grow and serve more vulnerable members of our community.
