I recently spoke with Aubrey Tavares about volunteering at Mission Oak Cliff. She and Ashley Warner were then my guests at the Oak Cliff Lions Club.
I was immediately struck and impressed by Aubrey's enthusiasm, organizational abilities and friendly demeanor. She is an extraordinary asset for Mission Oak Cliff and their clientele.
We had an excellent conversation about volunteering opportunities and needs at Mission Oak Cliff. We also discussed the needs of their clients, which include food assistance, clothing, homeless support and more.
I then volunteered in the food pantry on Friday August 26.
They were well organized, friendly and introduced me to some other top notch volunteers. I spent most of my time with a Peggy, who was delightful, helpful and informative.
Together we served dozens of clients, all of who were friendly, grateful and clearly benefited from the food and other services they received.
If you are looking for a way to give to the community, serve others in need, meet like minded people and also have fun, then I highly recommend you reach out to Aubrey and volunteer at Mission Oak Cliff.

Doing a good job for helping people in need. But since a few weeks after the cdc already pointed out that Corona virus is over, they are giving out masks that doesn't even let breathing air pass through it. Maybe they are working hard on making some homeless thick... who knows!!!

Went to serve as volunteer, they were well organized, friendly and introduced me to the best ice cream I had tasted in awhile.

This place is truly amazing. The people at the food bank are always so kind and helpful. They offer a wide range of services for those in need, including but not limited to, a food bank and help for the homeless.
