I am a Mom. I DRIVE 2 HOURS TO GET HERE. Looked for this place because I needed a place to see my son. The first time I came to this facilily it was dirty and cold. I let my son play while a 20 something year old watched. The second time I came they told me that I needed to put dirrehea clothes back on my 18 month old. I wrote an email to the owner who never returned my call. I drove 2 hours in the snow for them to tell me they decided to close 15 minutes before my visit. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT YOUR place YOUR PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR BABIES THERE!!! Next time

If you have any choice in where you hold your child’s visitation, please do not hold it here. I had to bring my children here to meet with their biological father twice a week, they let my children off the property with someone not named in the visitation order. I was absolutely shocked. Not only does that go against the visitation order itself but it put my children in danger. The director at the time, Tammy Fischer, not only allowed this to happen but she also gave no reason to why/how this was allowed to happen to begin with. The communication from beginning to end with this place was absolutely horrific. DO NOT use Lutheran Family Services if at all possible.

This place is the most mismanaged group I’ve ever dealt with when it comes to visitation. The first visit I brought my niece to the woman wouldn’t let me in the lobby. I had to ask them to move to get in. Then they stood around me like I was the negligent parent, didn’t introduce themselves, didn’t ask my name, and tried to take the child from me. When I told them I had talked to the main administrator here and the case worker and that i was supposed to be transferring baby to dad they looked at me like I was trying to rob them. I told them I’d be in the lobby for the entirety of the visit and to come out if there’s any questions, for the next hour and a half I listened to this child cry off and on. When I finally went in, the person supervising the visit had allowed this barely 6 month old baby to have apple juice and puffs, the juice she was allergic to and we hadn’t been given approval by MD for solids yet, and no one bothered to come ask me. I spent the weekend trying to get her to recover from constant vomiting and digestive issues. As I was leaving the supervisor stood with the door open staring at me until I got my stuff with the door open, not saying a word. This location makes you feel unwelcome, they do not give any communication whatsoever to what is going on and don’t even ask how you prefer the visit go. If you can avoid, do so at all costs.
